1. Open the right World
Open beltwars.fun/mainnet and sign in with email, Google, or a wallet. Select the wallet you want to play with. If you already have a colony, select the address that owns it.
Belt Wars runs on Base mainnet. Entry is free. You still need ETH on Base for network fees and gameplay gas.
Supported sign-in and wallets
- Email or Google: creates a playing wallet for that sign-in.
- Ethereum wallet: connect MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, Phantom in Ethereum mode, or WalletConnect.
Use the same playing address to recover your colony. Email, Google, and an external wallet can lead to different addresses. Switch with Playing wallet. Colony missing?
2. Enter the game
New player: choose Join for free, confirm registration, then create your colony. Returning player: continue with your existing colony.
No entrance fee. Registration sends no entry payment, but its transaction still costs network gas. Your playing wallet confirms registration and colony creation.
Keep ETH on Base for colony creation and gameplay. A name claim is optional; check its quote before confirming.
3. Enable your game session
At Enable your game session, choose a gas deposit and approve setup. The suggested deposit is 0.001 ETH; you can change it. This is your gameplay gas balance, not an entrance fee.
- Your playing wallet owns the colony.
- Your gameplay wallet pays gas and signs game actions. Sign in to the same account to recover it on phone or PC.
- Top-ups are manual. The session cannot take ETH from your playing wallet.
Open Gas & account settings to add gas, withdraw unused ETH, or manage access. Registration, colony creation, and name claims still require your playing wallet.
Used an older browser wallet? Its gas stays at that address. Use Manage previous browser gas on the original device and domain before clearing browser data. Recovery instructions.
4. Choose your client

Both use the same wallet and mainnet colonies. Switch client / account returns you to the lobby; changing clients does not require a new colony or another registration.
In Reimagined, use the colony view to build, Starbelt to select asteroids and fleets, and Reports for battles, objectives, and rankings. Controls are arranged differently in Original.
